The Creation

The scenery was painted,
the stage was set,
but everything wasn't quite ready yet.

There was something missing from this great large place.

He looked and He studied trying to figure it out.

He sat down to think and He wondered out loud.

What could make this place perfect for His animal friends,
They had the green rolling hills where the rabbits run wild;

The deep dark forest where the big bear hides;

The crystal clear water where the little fish swims;

They were all created from up above by Him.

Then suddenly he had an idea;
They needed a master to keep them in place;
To guide them and guard them and keep them in place.

He decided then to create a man to be master of His kingdom,
this brand new land.

He made the man then He made the woman.

Then He left them in charge;
and look what they did.

They cut down the hills where the rabbits run wild.
They burned the forest where the big bears hide.
They littered the water where the little fish swim.
They destroyed almost everything created by Him.

The masters He'd made weren't masters anymore.

He turned and He sighed as He walked away.

"I'll have to start over again, Someday."

The Cry Goes Out

As the whip cuts into his back,
the cry goes out,
"I love you."

As the crown of thorns pierce his head,
the cry goes out,
"I love you."

As the nails are driven into his hands and feet,
the cry goes out,
"I love you."

As the spear goes deep into his side and pierces his heart,
the cry goes out,
"I love you."

As he hangs his head and dies,
the cry goes out,
"I love you."

As he comes forth from the grave three days later,
the cry goes out even louder,
"I love you."
